Whitehorse Farmers' Market

Whitehorse Farmers' Market has been run by Rotarian volunteers every month since 2006. It is a community fundraiser at heart. The six Rotary clubs of the City of Whitehorse and the Whitehorse Rotaract Club operate the market on behalf of Council. Every dollar they raise goes back into local projects, from bedding for emergency relief and tools for the Men's Shed to a Box Hill TAFE scholarship. More than 60 vendors from around Victoria sell direct from the farm and the home kitchen on the lawns in front of the Civic Centre. Expect fruit, vegetables and meat alongside bread, cakes, pasta, eggs, chutneys, olive oils and natural products. Grab a bacon and egg sandwich and a fresh coffee while you shop. It is a plastic bag free market, and December's edition doubles as a Christmas market.
