Nunawading Market

The Nunawading Market has been a fixture of Melbourne's eastern suburbs since 1985, held inside and outside the Whitehorse Civic Centre on Whitehorse Road. Run by Arts Nunawading Inc - a local non-profit - it brings together a diverse mix of handmade arts and crafts, fresh seasonal produce, and gourmet food, all under the banner of "Make it. Bake it. Grow it." Proceeds from the market flow directly back into cultural, performing and visual arts programs across the City of Whitehorse, so every purchase supports the local creative community.

Expect to find an eclectic spread of locally made goods: hand-thrown ceramics, lead-light giftware, crocheted garments and accessories, handmade jewellery, aromatherapy products, greeting cards, and children's knitwear sit alongside seasonal berries, baked slices, quiche, and hot drinks. The market runs monthly on the fourth Sunday from February through November, with a special Christmas Market in December held in the afternoon.
