About this market

Each November, Tactile Arts brings Territory makers together for its Christmas edition of the Makers Markets, one of Darwin's biggest handmade markets of the year. Every item is handmade by local artists and designers. You'll find textiles, ceramics, jewellery, glass, painting, drawing and sculpture alongside homewares, clothing, handmade soaps, candles, beauty products and children's and baby items. Tactile Arts is the trading name of the Crafts Council of the Northern Territory, a not-for-profit organisation, so every purchase also supports local creative practice. Festive treats and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere make it a good place to shop local and start the Christmas season the Territory way.
