Southside Farmers Market

Held every Sunday morning on the grounds of Canberra College in Phillip, Southside Farmers Market puts growers front and centre in a setting that feels genuinely community-rooted. With around 60 stalls, it is large enough to warrant a good browse yet compact enough to retain a relaxed, neighbourhood atmosphere - the kind of place where a stallholder will happily chat about how the garlic was grown or where the cherries came from. The stall mix covers fresh fruit and vegetables from regional NSW and ACT producers, artisan baked goods, cheese, honey and preserves, alongside a solid run of ready-to-eat cooked foods spanning dumplings, crepes, gozleme and more international street-food flavours. It is a practical weekly shop and a leisurely Sunday outing rolled into one.
