Christmas in Prospect Fair

Christmas in Prospect is a much-loved, community-driven fair that fills Prospect Memorial Gardens and a closed-off Menzies Crescent with festive spirit. It is supported by the City of Prospect and local sponsors and coordinated on a volunteer basis by Stephanie of Powerhouse Gym, the team behind Markets in Prospect. The 2026 edition runs into the evening as 'Christmas in Prospect Under the Stars'. A festive market square of Brand South Australia makers, creators, small businesses and community groups sits alongside food stalls, live music and carols with the Prospect Lions Club. Families are well catered for. Past fairs have included mini golf, bouncy castles, soft play, glitter freckles, kids' Christmas crafts and a lolly hunt, all free. Past years have also featured a Touch a Truck area with SA Police and the Metropolitan Fire Service, a Car Show n Shine, the lighting of a 12ft Christmas tree and a grand Santa arrival escorted by charity motorcycles.
