Wondai Country Markets

Held on the fourth Saturday of every month in Coronation Park in the heart of Wondai's CBD, the Wondai Country Markets are managed by the Wondai Regional Art Gallery - one of rural South East Queensland's most celebrated community arts institutions. The market brings together a cheerful mix of fresh fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts, clothing, gifts, and useful knick-knacks, all set against the relaxed backdrop of a South Burnett country town. Locals fire up the BBQ from the 7.00am opening bell, serving up hearty breakfasts to early-bird bargain hunters, while live entertainment adds to the festive atmosphere.

A standout feature is the indoor 'Studio' space located within the market area at the gallery itself, where stallholders selling handmade and homemade goods set up in air-conditioned comfort for just $5 a table. The QCWA also runs a Devonshire Tea service in the relaxing forecourt of the Studio - a thoroughly country Queensland touch. New stallholders are always warmly welcomed, with outdoor stall fees starting from $10 including power.
