About this market

The Warburton Valley Market is a community-run open-air market held on the banks of Birrarung (the Yarra River), tucked behind the Warburton Arts Centre in the lush upper Yarra Valley. Born from farm gate sales during the early days of the pandemic, it has grown into a vibrant monthly gathering that brings together local growers, makers, and musicians in one of Victoria's most scenic river settings. Expect fresh local produce - fruit, vegetables, honey, eggs and artisan bread - alongside ceramics, jewellery, plants, handmade craft, quality vintage clothing, soap, wine, and hot food. The market is strongly eco-conscious, encouraging plastic-bag-free shopping, direct conversation with growers, and a genuine connection to where your food comes from.

The Valley Market runs two distinct locations: this monthly Warburton event and a separate weekly Friday market at Yarra Valley ECOSS in Wesburn. The Warburton market has a noticeably festive, community atmosphere - live entertainment is a fixture each month, kids' art workshops are regularly offered, and a picnic lawn along the river invites lingering well beyond a quick shop.
