About this market

The ECOSS Valley Market is a grassroots community market held every Friday afternoon at Yarra Valley ECOSS in Wesburn - a working sustainability and education centre that perfectly matches the market's ethos. Born in March 2020 from farm gate sales at Silvertine Farm when the Warburton Summer Produce Market was shuttered by the pandemic, it has since grown into a vibrant weekly fixture for locals and visitors exploring the Yarra Valley. Stalls span fresh local produce, artisan bread, honey, eggs, ceramics, jewellery, soaps, and more, with live local musicians performing regularly. The market champions plastic-bag-free shopping, encourages organic growing (without requiring certification), and actively supports surrounding local businesses - a genuinely community-run gathering in the truest sense.

What happens if the market is cancelled due to weather?

The ECOSS Valley Market is an outdoor event and may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions (extreme heat, heavy rain, strong wind) or on any extreme/code red fire danger rating days. Stallholder registration fees are refunded in the event of cancellation.

Do stallholders need insurance?

Yes - all stallholders must hold current public liability insurance (minimum $10 million recommended). Food vendors also require Streatrader registration and a Food Safety Certificate.
