As a Victorian Farmers Market Association (VFMA) accredited event, it guarantees that every stallholder grows, raises or makes their own product - no wholesalers or resellers, ever. Producers must be located within 100 km of Wangaratta, so what you find here is genuinely regional: seasonal fruit and vegetables, grass-fed meats, local wines and ciders, artisan dairy, specialty oils, flowers, ready-to-eat meals and more. The market carefully caps stallholder numbers within each product category, keeping the offering diverse and giving each small business a fair chance to thrive. Live local musicians perform on the cathedral steps from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, adding to the relaxed community atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back month after month.
