About this market
Run by Craft + Design Canberra, an organisation supporting craftspeople and designers since 1973, the Undercurrent Design Market is the market centrepiece of the Craft + Design Canberra Festival. It brings together more than 50 accomplished makers from across Australia, showing contemporary work in jewellery, glass, ceramics, textiles, wood, metal, fashion and homewares. This is a place to find one-of-a-kind pieces and talk directly with the artists about the stories, skills and processes behind their work. Come for a unique gift or a statement piece for your home, or simply to support Australian makers. The market runs over a Friday twilight session and two weekend days at the Ainslie Arts Centre in Braddon, one of Canberra's inner-north creative hubs.
