About this market
Stirling Laneways calls itself more than a market, and it earns the claim. On market Sundays the pedestrian laneways and tucked-away spaces off Stirling's main street fill with colourful bunting, South Australian artists, street entertainers, pop-up stalls and the village's own local traders. It celebrates village life and the changing seasons of the Adelaide Hills, and it leans colourful, cosy and a little bit crazy. Each event activates a different set of named spaces, such as Centenary Place, Acacia Alley, Quercus Lane and Tin Lids Lane, so the best approach is to wander and see what each laneway holds. Laneways is run by the Stirling Business Association with local businesses, performance artists and community groups. Its artistic bent has earned back-to-back Mainstreet SA awards for Best Market / Street Activation and a place in the Mainstreet SA Hall of Fame. The season runs through the warmer months and finishes the year with a Christmas special.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Stirling Laneways the same as the Stirling Market on Druid Ave?
No. The Stirling Market on Druid Ave is a separate monthly market. Laneways runs in the pedestrian laneways and spaces off the main street on village market Sundays.
When does the Laneways season run?
It usually runs on the fourth Sunday of each month from September to May. The December event is held on the third Sunday as a Christmas special, and there are no events over winter.
Can I bring my dog?
Visit Adelaide Hills lists the event as pet friendly on enquiry. Contact the organisers before you go.
How do I apply for a stall?
Read the site-holder guidelines on the Stirling Laneways website first, then submit either the market stall or the food vendor application. The regular season spots are filled, but new stallholders are still accepted and spaces open up for individual events. Site prices have risen this season to cover higher insurance costs.
Is there a map of the laneways?
Yes. You can download a Stirling Laneways map from the official website. Different laneway spaces are activated for each event.
