Sanctuary Markets

Nestled on the Village Green inside the iconic Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Sanctuary Markets is a lively Friday evening market that blends international street food, fresh produce and local craft in one of the Gold Coast's most distinctive settings. Launched in September 2014, the market draws food lovers to an undercover craft area alongside outdoor stalls offering an impressive sweep of world cuisines - Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Brazilian, Turkish, Venezuelan, South African and Chilean among them. The sanctuary's Village Green deck provides the backdrop, with the fully licensed bar pouring Burleigh Brewery boutique beers and Sirromet Wines. Fresh Asian greens, local eggs, seasonal produce and Australian seafood are available in the car park produce section, while live local musicians entertain throughout the evening. Funds generated through the sanctuary's operations flow back into wildlife conservation at Currumbin. Note: due to quarantine regulations, pets are not permitted within the sanctuary precinct.
