About this market

Queanbeyan Trash & Treasure is a no-fuss secondhand market built on one idea: if the prices are cheap enough, everything finds a new home. It was started by Adam Charif, founder of The Shed in Fyshwick and The Queanbeyan Market, with teammate Veronica Cox. About 3000 bargain hunters and more than 60 stallholders turned up to the first market. Expect tables of vintage books, cookware, specialty parts and racks of clothing, plus sorted and unsorted overflow stock from The Shed. The appeal is that you never know what you'll find, whether it's a taillight for an old Holden, the missing LEGO piece or a winter jacket. Families come along, and kids get to practise budgeting and bartering face-to-face.
