Mount Beauty Market

Nestled against the mountain backdrop of the Upper Kiewa Valley, the Mount Beauty Market has been a beloved community institution since 1979 - making it one of Victoria's longest-running community markets. Run by Mount Beauty Market Inc., a passionate volunteer committee, the market brings together locals, visitors, growers, makers, artists and community groups for a relaxed morning of colour, creativity and good company on the first Saturday of each month.

From September through to May the market sets up in the beautiful gardens of Hydro Park on Lakeside Avenue, with June through August hosted indoors at the Mount Beauty Community Centre on Hollonds Street - so rain or cold is no reason to miss out. Whether you're browsing fresh local produce, picking up a handmade treasure, catching live music, or simply grabbing a coffee and soaking up the alpine air, there's always something to discover. After the market, the town's cafes, the Kiewa River walks and the road to Falls Creek and the Alpine National Park are all close at hand.
