Tucked into Baromi Park on Mirboo North's main street (Ridgway), this community-run monthly market is one of South Gippsland's most spirited country gatherings. Managed by Mirboo Country Development Incorporated (MCDI), the market channels every dollar of profit back into local community projects - giving shoppers a direct stake in the town they visit. The mix spans fresh growers, home bakers, artisan makers and local merchants, all set against the backdrop of a beautiful park in the centre of a small, welcoming country town. Two resident coffee vans, live Music@Market, and a monthly $150 Market Money prize draw keep the atmosphere lively from well before the 8:30 am opening bell.

When is the Mirboo North Market held?
The last Saturday of every month from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, except December. Check the website for any cancellations due to weather.
Is there an ATM at the market?
There is no ATM on site, but the Bendigo Bank branch is two doors from the Strzelecki Bakery in the centre of town. Cash out is also available at the BP Service Station. Most stalls accept EFTPOS.
Who runs the Mirboo North Market?
It is managed by Mirboo Country Development Incorporated (MCDI), a membership-based community association. All market profits go back into local community projects.
What is Market Money?
Make any purchase at any stall and you receive an entry ticket. Hand it in at the Information Tent (big orange gazebo with a purple INFORMATION flag near the BBQ centre) for a chance to win $150 in Market Money tokens to spend at the following month's market.
Is there good coffee at the market?
Yes - two resident coffee vans operate every month. Coffee's UP! (Dave and Sharon Weymouth) is near the cenotaph, and Beez Travel Bean (Belinda Rata) is in the car park area near the Grain Store.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The market can be cancelled if rain, high winds, or waterlogged grounds make it unsafe or unpleasant. Check the website and Facebook page for weather updates in the days before market day.
