Brought to you by the team behind the Rose St. Artists' Market in Fitzroy, the Lygon Street Market takes up residence in the beautiful Piazza Italia (Argyle Square) - one of Carlton's most beloved public spaces and the heart of Melbourne's Italian cultural precinct. Each month, up to 60 makers set up across the square with original artwork, jewellery, accessories, homewares, quality produce, and hot food, creating a vibrant mix that feels at home alongside the espresso bars and trattorias of Lygon Street. The curated roster focuses on locally handmade and designed goods - no mass-produced or imported items - giving the event a genuinely creative atmosphere whether you're shopping for something special or just soaking up the Sunday scene.

What happens if the date I want is sold out?
You'll be added to a waiting list and contacted if a space opens up. Any fees paid will be refunded in full if a stall cannot be offered.

Yes - the Lygon Street Market runs in all weather types. Stallholders are encouraged to bring a marquee for shelter. In the event of an entire cancellation due to severe adverse weather, stall credits are provided for the next scheduled date.
