    About this market

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Kallista Village Market has a remarkable heritage dating back to 1977 as one of Victoria's first community markets. After nearly disappearing during the pandemic with the closure of the Kallista Community House, this beloved market has been lovingly revived by the volunteer-led Kallista Village Inc. The market stays true to its founding principles of supporting local, handmade, homegrown, ethical and sustainable goods while introducing fresh concepts like a Boutique Hall and Plant Fair. Set in the charming village of Kallista, surrounded by towering mountain ash and tree ferns, the market serves the tight-knit communities of Kallista, The Patch and Sherbrooke. This is more than just a market - it's a celebration of community spirit, local talent and the unique character of life in the hills.
