Hindmarsh Valley Night Market

The Hindmarsh Valley Night Market is a volunteer-run weekly gathering held every Wednesday evening at the historic Hindmarsh Valley Memorial Hall - a beloved community landmark that has served the Southern Fleurieu for over 160 years. Organised by the Hindmarsh Valley Progress Association, the market is deliberately inclusive and open: locals are encouraged to bring handmade items, plants, bric-a-brac, produce, and more, creating a mix that shifts week to week and reflects whatever talent and resources the community has on offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable - come after work, grab a bite, catch some live music or even pick up an instrument and join in. Bar proceeds go directly towards upgrading the hall's amenities and facilities, so every visit actively supports the community space itself. Launched in June 2026 as a new weekly fixture, the market sits alongside the hall's other creative events - from art exhibitions and youth entrepreneur markets to open mic nights - cementing Hindmarsh Valley as a small but lively cultural hub between Victor Harbor and Yankalilla.
