    About this market

Set in the rose-lined gardens of Sobels Winery in Polkolbin, Handmade in the Hunter Markets is a charming country market dedicated entirely to local makers and creators from the Greater Hunter region. Every stall holder must reside within the region and sell 100% handmade goods - whether baked, sewn, grown, or crafted by hand - so no two stalls are alike and every item comes with a story. The market was founded by the late Karen Rowe, who spent over a decade nurturing the local maker community, and is now lovingly run by Jan and Anna Mikula, makers themselves from the Beenatree Creations stall. With up to 50 stall holders each week, a food and coffee van on site, and Sobels Winery open for tastings just steps away, it makes for an ideal Saturday morning in wine country.
