About this market

Cygnet Garden Markets are a twice-yearly community event at Cygnet Town Hall and surrounds on Mary Street, in Tasmania's Huon Valley. The same volunteer team runs a Spring edition and an Autumn edition, with garden-centric stalls: seedlings and plants, cut flowers, botanical art, biodynamic and organic produce, preserves, baked goods, artisanal homewares, local makers and live music. The next market is the Spring 2026 twilight edition on Saturday 28 November, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a splash of Christmas cheer. Entirely volunteer-run, stall fees and entry donations go to a selected local charity after costs. Past beneficiaries include the Huon Refugee Support Group, Cygnet Cares and Welcome Gardeners. This Spring edition raises funds for Cygnet Primary. Visitors are encouraged to bring a cup and basket. This listing is not The Cygnet Market (first and third Sundays).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the Spring market or the Autumn market?

Both sit on this listing. Cygnet Garden Markets run twice a year at the same Town Hall ground. The next date is Spring twilight, Saturday 28 November 2026, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Autumn 2026 market on 11 April has already been held.

How much does entry cost?

Entry is by donation. Donations go toward a selected local charity after market running costs.

Why is Spring 2026 in the evening?

The organisers are trialling a twilight timeslot for this Spring edition, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Christmas cheer element. Autumn editions have used daytime hours. Check each date.

Is this The Cygnet Market on Sundays?

No. The Cygnet Market is a different event (first and third Sundays). This listing is the twice-yearly garden market at the Town Hall.

How do I apply to be a stall holder?

Apply via the stall holder form at cygnetgardenmarkets.com. The stall fee is $45 per site and is donated to the selected charity after costs. Stalls should be garden-themed or garden-relevant.

Is this a zero-waste market?

Visitors are encouraged to bring a reusable cup and basket. Organic waste from the market is composted locally.
