About this market
Hosted by Lifestyle Markets Australia, the inaugural Cruden Farmers' Market takes over one of Victoria's most beloved private estates on a single spring Sunday. Set within the sweeping manicured gardens and peaceful bushland of the 100-acre Cruden Farm - the former home of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch - this is much more than a regular produce run: it's a relaxed community day where small-scale and backyard farmers, artisan bakers, and handmade-goods makers gather against a genuinely extraordinary backdrop. Stall mix spans farm-fresh produce, artisan breads, and handcrafted goods, with visitors encouraged to BYO a picnic and settle in on the lawns between the market stalls and the historic grounds. Guided garden tours (pre-book, $35 per person including garden entry) run from 10:00 am and offer a deeper look at Dame Elisabeth's 80-year horticultural legacy. EFTPOS and cash are accepted, takeaway tea and coffee are available at the Visitor Centre, and toilets (including universal access) are on site.
