Tucked away in the hinterland village of Chillingham, this monthly community market has the unhurried feel of a true country gathering. Held at the Chillingham Community Centre on the second Sunday of each month, it draws locals and visitors alike for handmade goods, fresh produce, and the kind of home-cooked breakfast that's hard to rush past. The Chillingham Community Association runs its own stall selling the village's famous homemade jams, chutneys, sauces, and relishes - a reason in itself to make the trip. The market is proudly plastic bag free, so bring a basket or borrow one on arrival.
