Chidlow Market Day

Chidlow Market Day is a friendly Perth Hills community market held inside the historic Chidlow Hall. The Chidlow Progress Association has been restoring the hall and uses it for local events. The market showcases local makers, artisans and small businesses, with handmade arts and crafts, woodwork, jewellery, candles, skincare, soaps, clothing, accessories and 3D prints, plus face painting for the kids. Chidlow grew up servicing steam trains bound for the Kalgoorlie goldfields and still has an old-town, forest-edge charm. That makes the market an easy excuse for a relaxed country day trip about 40 kilometres from the city, paired with a swim at Lake Leschenaultia, a ride on the Railway Heritage Trail or a pie and coffee at a local cafe.
