Caloundra Christmas Street Fair and Tree Lighting

For one night in late November, the Caloundra Twilight Markets leave their usual spot on the Esplanade and move up the hill into Bulcock Street. The street closes to traffic and becomes a festive night market that kicks off the Christmas season on the Sunshine Coast. Shopfronts are lit along both sides, with traders open late for early gift hunters. Food trucks line the street, and stalls offer handmade gifts, homewares, jewellery, plants, produce and Christmas fare. Live music and roving entertainment run through the evening, and the official Caloundra Christmas tree is lit once the sun goes down. It's an all-ages night designed for families. Bulcock Street's cafés, restaurants and bars stay open alongside the stalls, so it's easy to come early and have dinner before the tree lighting. The event is presented by the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council. It's the first of the town's two Christmas events, with Carols on Kings following in December.
