About this market

Proudly run by the Rotary Club of Waikerie, the Waikerie Riverfront Market brings together handmade crafts, art, jewellery, clothing, plants, fresh produce, and food and drink stalls right on the banks of the Murray River in South Australia's Riverland. It's the kind of unhurried regional market where you can settle into an outdoor chair by the water, enjoy a bite from the food vendors, and soak up ambient music with the locals. Alongside the main stalls, the Car Boot and Collectables Sale runs at most events - a giant community garage sale where sellers pull up and trade pre-loved clothing, books, toys, homewares, and bric-a-brac from the boots of their cars. Dates vary across the year and include themed events such as a Fringe Family Day and a Rock'n'Roll Market, so check the calendar before heading out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I become a stallholder?

Download the Stallholder Application Form from the website and email it to enquiry@waikeriemarket.com to register your interest.

How does the Car Boot and Collectables Sale work?

Sellers load their car with second-hand or handmade goods and sell from their boot or a table beside their vehicle. Entry opens one hour before the main market. The $20 seller fee is collected on the day - you can also just turn up. No trailers, trucks, or long-wheelbase vans. All goods must be second-hand or personally handmade (no takeaway food, fruit or veg sellers).

Does the Car Boot Sale run at every market?

The Car Boot and Collectables Sale opens during most markets - check the calendar on the website or the Facebook page for confirmation at each event.

What if the weather is bad?
