Sunraysia Farmers & Makers Market

Down by the Murray in Jaycee Park, the Sunraysia Farmers & Makers Market brings the region's growers, bakers, winemakers, potters, artists and authors together for a relaxed riverside morning. Around 40 stallholders fill the park with farm-fresh fruit and vegetables, wood-baked bread, cakes, local wine and handmade goods. You might hear laughing kookaburras overhead while local musicians play. The not-for-profit market is run by volunteers, and its much-loved breakfast stall is the heart of the morning. It serves a full farmers brekkie made with local bacon and sausages, free-range eggs and freshly baked rolls. Many regulars come to shop, but plenty stay to catch up with friends, let the kids loose on the playground and linger over coffee by the water.
