About this market
The Strand Night Markets are a relaxed, family-friendly way to wind down after the working week on Townsville's beachfront. Grab dinner from the line-up of local food vans, then wander the stalls for gifts, souvenirs, candles, soaps, art and plants. The market is coordinated by Townsville Rotary Markets on behalf of the city's 10 Rotary clubs, and its profits go straight back into the community. More than $1.1 million has gone to local groups and appeals since 2017, including schools, sporting clubs, food relief and domestic violence services. It is the evening sibling of the daytime Willows Sunday Market, run by the same volunteer team.
