StrEATS turns the South Perth foreshore into a relaxed hawkers' hub through the warmer months, with a rotating line-up of food trucks setting up near the flagpole at Sir James Mitchell Park. The best way to do it is picnic-style: bring a rug, pick from global cuisines and settle in as the sun goes down over the river and the city lights come on across the water. Around 10 vendors trade each night, drawn from a roster of more than 50 regulars and newcomers, so the menu shifts from visit to visit and caters for a wide range of dietary needs. It is BYO and family-friendly, making it an easy after-work or weekend dinner option for locals and visitors alike.
