Tucked into the picturesque Lakala Reserve beside a lake and playground, the Port Elliot Rotary Market is a seasonal fixture on the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula that runs from October through to May. Managed by the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay, every dollar raised feeds back into community grants supporting youth programs, indigenous initiatives, environmental projects, and more - over $40,000 distributed in a single year alone. With 40+ stalls set amid shady parkland just a short walk from historic Port Elliot, the market brings together a lively mix of local produce, handmade crafts, native bush honey, preserves, plants, books, specialty teas, boutique wines, craft beers, and beachwear. It is a genuinely family- and dog-friendly destination with ample parking, drawing both locals and coastal visitors throughout the warmer months.
The market runs on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, with extended trading across the holiday season - adding the 4th Saturday in December and running every Saturday throughout January.
