About this market

Peel Street Markets has been a fixture of Tamworth's social calendar since August 1996, when it launched to celebrate the opening of the Peel Street Beautification project. Formerly known as the Peel Street Cottage Craft Fairs, the market is coordinated by the Rotary Club of Calala, with all coordination profits distributed back to local community organisations - giving every visit a feel-good purpose. More than 60 regular stallholders set up along the street each month, offering a genuinely eclectic mix of handmade, homegrown and creative goods: think hand-thrown pottery alongside hand-spun yarn, homemade jams and honey next to leather work and folk art, and seedlings and garden ornaments around the corner from babywear and kids' toys. No two months are quite the same, as new stallholders are regularly added to the mix. It's an easy, relaxed Sunday morning out - browse, taste, chat and soak up the community atmosphere in the heart of regional NSW.
