Monthly Produce Swap and Share

Held on the first Saturday of every month at the RCNC Community Garden in Lockyer - tucked behind Mount Lockyer Primary School - this relaxed produce swap and share is a cornerstone of Albany's community gardening scene. Gardeners of all experience levels gather to exchange homegrown produce, seedlings, cuttings, plants, seeds, herbs, pickles, jams, garden magazines, books, empty jars, and egg cartons - anything useful to a backyard grower. There is no money, no bookings, and no record keeping involved; if you have nothing to bring along, the spirit of the event is simply to join the conversation and enjoy some morning tea. Guest speakers and demonstrations add an occasional learning dimension, making it a welcoming entry point for new growers as much as a social ritual for seasoned ones.
