Kyilla Community Farmers Market

Started by the Kyilla Primary School P&C Association, this North Perth market began as a way to get fresh produce into the neighbourhood and to bring the community together. Each Saturday morning, Kyilla Park next to the school fills with locals shopping for fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, eggs, baked goods, flowers and herbs, with good coffee and fresh juice to go with it. Parent volunteers help set up and pack down, and a Kids Zone runs arts and craft activities, so it feels more like a neighbourhood gathering than a commercial event. Funds raised each week go back to the P&C to support the school's students.
