Held each Saturday morning on the lush playing fields of the Olympic Kingsway Sports Club in Madeley, Kingsway Community Markets brings together over 30 stalls in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. Shoppers browse locally grown fruit and vegetables, artisan food producers, craft goods, and a strong coffee and breakfast lineup - all with live music setting the pace. The open green surrounds of the Kingsway reserve give the market a genuinely unhurried feel, and the dog-friendly policy means furry companions are very much part of the weekly ritual. A professional knife sharpener attends once a month, handy for bringing down kitchen knives, scissors, or garden tools. Kids have their own reasons to look forward to Saturdays too, with occasional yoga and origami classes, a travelling bookshop, and an animal farm and bouncy castle appearing from time to time.
