Jung Market

Tucked away at Jung Recreation Reserve beside the banks of Yarriambiack Creek, Jung Market has been drawing locals and visitors to this small Wimmera town since April 1990 - making it one of the longest-running country markets in the region. With up to 80 stalls spreading across the reserve grounds, it's a genuine bush market where traders travel from as far as Melbourne, Swan Hill and Mildura to set up alongside growers and makers from the surrounding district. Expect a relaxed, community-minded atmosphere where regulars catch up with neighbours and newcomers get a taste of rural Victorian life. The stall mix shifts with the seasons - some months lean heavily into plants, seedlings and fresh produce; others bring out an abundance of crafts, antiques and pre-loved goods - so no two visits feel quite the same. Refreshments are well catered for, with coffee, hot jam donuts, fairy floss and a community BBQ rounding out the morning. Jung is roughly 18 kilometres northeast of Horsham, making it an easy addition to a Wimmera or Grampians weekend.
