Byron Beachside Market

Byron Beachside Market is a quarterly artisan showcase that unfolds along the sun-drenched foreshore between Clarkes Beach carpark and Byron Surf Club - a setting that is hard to beat anywhere in the country. Run by the Byron Community Centre, a non-profit social enterprise, the market takes place on a single Saturday each school-holiday period (January, April, July and September), drawing together local artists, creators and healers under a 'make it, bake it, sew it, grow it' philosophy. Expect a vibrant mix of high-quality art, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, glasswork, homewares, fashion and clothing - all made by the artisans selling it. Live music fills the foreshore air while food vendors serve coffee, brunch and lunch, making it as much a day out as a shopping trip. The market runs rain or shine and is dog friendly (on lead), so the whole family - four-legged members included - can come along and soak up the Byron Bay atmosphere.
