About this market
The Berry Springs Community Markets are a long-standing rural Top End gathering, held in the open-plan community hall at Berry Springs Recreation Reserve, about 50 km from Darwin City. Stalls cover local food and produce, gifts, handmade crafts and bric-a-brac, so a visit feels more like a browse through the district's makers and home kitchens than a slick city market. The Berry Springs Community Market Association runs the markets independently. With the Berry Springs swimming hole and Territory Wildlife Park nearby, and a shaded playground, oval and BBQ area on the reserve itself, it is an easy family morning out through the dry season months. The season wraps up each year with a Christmas Market.
