Australian market insurance

Market insurance providers in Australia

There is no single policy called "market insurance" that works for everyone. A first-time jewellery stall, a weekly farmers market and a one-off community fair need to ask different questions.

This directory brings together Australian providers with publicly described products relevant to market stalls, markets or both. It includes direct insurers, brokers, underwriting agencies and a specialist membership option. It is a researched selection, not a quote comparison, a ranking or a complete list of every insurer in Australia.

One-day stall cover

These are the providers in this directory that publish a one-day stall option. A one-day price is not a quote for your products, and the list is not a ranking.

A few others publish a short term that is longer than one day. AAMI publishes three-, six- and 12-month market-stall options. Local Community Insurance Services advertises from 30 days. ASR says it has short-term options, and the shortest term depends on the quote. BizCover's own market-stall guidance says it offers annual policies rather than one-off cover.

For stallholders

The entries below provide a way to start looking. A provider may decline particular goods or activities even when it generally offers market-stall cover. Entries are in alphabetical order.

For market organisers

The entries below have publicly described market-organiser or community-event options. Confirm whether the product is intended for your particular market and whether it includes stallholders. Entries are in alphabetical order.

Published price examples

These are advertised examples checked on 23 September 2026, not personalised quotes and not like-for-like policies. The price for you can change with your products, activity, location, limits, policy term, eligibility, fees and selected cover. Use the provider link to check today's price. This list is not sorted by price and does not mark a cheapest option.

What this directory does and does not do

We describe publicly available starting points. We do not ask for details about your business, calculate quotes or select a policy for you. A provider's presence here does not mean its cover suits your market, stall or products.

Editorial entries appear in alphabetical order. Any future paid promotion would appear in a separate space labelled Advertisement or Paid partner, and would not change the directory order.

Before you ask for a quote

If your market involves rides, alcohol, temporary structures, live animals or other specialised activities, explain them clearly when you request a quote. A general market policy may not include them.

MarketsGuide provides general information, not insurance or financial advice. We do not arrange policies or assess whether a policy suits you. Availability, prices, terms and exclusions can change. Check the provider's current policy documents and confirm the requirements of your market, venue or council before buying cover. Providers shown are a selection, not a complete list of every option in Australia.
